Nature's Health and Nutrition defines such foods as 'Intelligent Foods'. It is an original term that defines how healthy foods are combined to benefit the body. Selecting specific foods for cellular nourishment is known as 'Intelligent Cuisine'. The 'Art of Intelligent Eating' conceptualized by Cheryl Richards simply means purposely fashioning the human body into a healthy work of art as it was created to be - vibrant, healthy and without illness or disease; glorious in health and splendour.
It does not really matter what the health status of a person is - if a person has a genetic condition, giving the body the best nourishment will enhance the health and well being of that person; and there are many conditions which can be completely reversed through the art of intellgent cuisine and intelligent eating.
All natural foods contain 'living intelligence.' They are comprised of active enzymes and natural chemical compounds that repair damaged DNA, improve cellular function and regulate biochemical functions that are essential for whole health and wellbeing. These foods are not ordinary but are actually living medicines that stimulate the lifeforce for important biochemical and physiological functions. Their 'intelligence' in regards to regulating the human body from the enzymic stage to the physiological stage is far superior to any knowledge that we have about our own bodies.
Scientists are still studying chemical compounds in natural foods to find out how they work in regards to optimizing the health of the human body. The art of preparing and eating 'intelligent' foods makes the difference between people who experience life on a healthier level and those who don't.

Natural foods mean serious business when it comes to building and regenerating the human body. Firstly, every system is waiting for its own share of nutrients to regulate functions specific to that network - the immune system, the digestive system, the intestinal system, the glandular system, the circulatory system, the eliminatory system, the nervous system, the urinary system, the pulmonary system, the reproductive system and the skeletal/structural system.
Every network requires potent nutrients to function efficiently. When we consider the extent to which the body needs potent nutrients to keep these systems functioning at their peak and the fact that such nutrients can only come from the foods we eat, it is easy to understand why people are riddled with health problems and disease today.
The modern foods we mostly live on do not have the intelligence to nourish or replenish these systems. Instead, 95% of the foods eaten today spread such horrific internal abnormalities (that our eyes do not see), that it is only when we feel out of sorts and go for a diagnosis that we realise just how dysfunctional our internal systems are. This is only after most of these systems have suffered years of nutrient starvation and poisoning from toxic substances that we actually call 'food'. It reallyis amazing what is labelled and considered to be food today like a commercial strawbery milkshake that is loaded with chemicals for colour, taste and smell - none of them being real).
When we partake in the art of intelligent cuisine and the art of intelligent eating by selecting only intelligent foods...we are building, sculpting and maintaining a work of art; namely our bodies.

There is no man made food (food that is manufactured) that can dare to

Intelligent Foods that Protect, Repair and Regenerate DNA FlavonoidsA
study looking at the protective effects of quercetin and quercetin-rich
fruit juice against the induction of oxidative stress of DNA showed the
following: Flavonoids protect against ageing, cardiovascular disease and many forms of cancer by preventing initial DNA damage. This means that the health benefits of foods that contain flavonoids start the healing and regenerating process at the molecular and DNA level. Several tests were conducted in vitro (inside the body) and ex vivo (outside the body). Ex vivo - human lymphocytes or white blood cells of the immune system were pre-incubated with various concentrations of quercetin and then subjected to hydrogen peroxide and benzo(a)pyrene - (acting as a free radical). For the in vitro study, female volunteers consumed a quercetin-rich blueberry/apple juice mixture for four weeks and were also given an effective dose of H(2)O(2) and benzo(a)pyrene, respectively, at three different time points, i.e. before, during and after taking the blueberry/apple juice. Ex vivo results (the effects of quercetin on DNA and lymphocyte DNA in laboratory tests) showed that there was a significant dose-dependent protection by quercetin against both the formation of oxidative DNA damage and of BPDE-DNA adducts. During and after the study, it was shown that drinking apple/bluebery juice led to a significant increase in the total antioxidant capacity of plasma, and an increase in plasma quercetin content from 5.0 to 10.6 nM (p=0.03). After four weeks, the level of oxidative damage decreased by 41%, and the BPDE-DNA adduct level induced ex vivo was decreased by 11%. Both results showed that in vitro and ex vivo, quercetin found in fruits is able to protect against chemically induced DNA damage in human lymphocytes, which also accounts for its anti-cancerous properties. 'Living Foods' are organic plant foods that have not been chemically changed through the process of manufacturing or cooking (vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, grains, plants etc) and are delectable, medicinal foods. Plant foods are a potent source of pure nutrients known as phytochemicals and phytonutrients. There are so many healing compounds in edible plant foods that scientists are unable to identify them all. That is why manufactured foods and intelligent natural foods are vastly different in their ability to feed the body what it requires to function at an optimum level of health and these foods should not be placed in the same category. In fact, manufactured foods should not be called 'food' at all ... How Intelligent Foods Heal the Body
All experiences of unwellness, illness or disease begin at the microscopic level where cells degenerate in response to their internal environment (the human body).
