Unhealthy Products That Can Be Poisoning Your Kids
Did you know that you could be unwittingly poisoning your entire family by just buying your kids deodorant? Good hygiene and deodorant go together and no one is suggesting doing without underarm products but the majority of products used today do a lot more than keep you and your family smelling clean. They actually poison your system and end up after long term use as a diagnosis for disease. One medical report stated that a high percentage of babies just delivered (and the words to take note of are 'just delivered') had very high percentages of toxins or poisons in their system - mostly from the use of deodorants and other toxic products and foods during pregnancy.
What is amazing is that companies who manufacture such products for consumer use know they are toxic and often appease themselves by saying the chances for 'the population' developing terminal illnesses are 'relatively low' That 'relatively low' percentage when placed in its proper context considering the millions who use such products every day is not 'relatively low' at all.
By the time, a disease does develop, after the body has spent years trying to fight off the poisons we unknowingly put into it, it finally gives in and surrenders to disease which doctors diagnose without explaining that years of using toxins breeds disease. As one famous doctor put it 'it isn't my job to heal the body, its my job to treat disease.' Therefore, doctors are not interested in how you get illnesses and disease, they merely treat it and are not particularly interested in curing any condition either. Therefore, as consumers we have to be well informed and make intelligent decisions for our health.
The chemicals contained in even the most rudimentary hygiene products such as deodorant, antiperspirant, shampoos, moisturizers, toothpaste are suspect even in the best case scenario.
Let's look at just a few of the potentially harmful chemicals that can be found in these products and look at what is fact or fiction, and in most areas you'll be forced to draw your own conclusions.
This chemical is used in a wide variety of products and even in food. It is primarily used as a preservative, antifungal and anti-bacterial. Research shows there is a strong link between using deodorants containing parabens and breast cancer. Parabens can mimic the hormone estrogen which has been verified to play a role in breast cancer When you are using a product daily like deodorant that is linked to such a terminal disease, its safety must be questioned.
There have been other studies which link reproductive problems with parabens. Even some so called natural products hide naturally occurring parabens in their products while still preaching about the potentially harmful effects. One study which looks at the link between parabens and cancer must be noted.
A study by Dabre in the Journal of Applied Toxicology entitled Concentrations of Parabens in Human Breast Tumors' caused a huge debate over whether deodorant can cause breast cancer. The study proved that low dose, long term exposure levels that humans are typically exposed to accumulate in the body.
If we think about that for a moment, it is quite frightening. As we continuously use roll ons and deodorant sprays etc, we don't realise that the body is actually absorbing and accumulating dangerous chemicals in the product. Many of us believe that when we shower or bathe, we wash away any underam residue and apply a fresh batch. The chemistry of the body is much more complex than that and the truth is the immune system including lymph and blood circulation cannot manage the build up of chemicals. Several years later a disease may occur and we simply believe 'oh, I have this condition or that condition' as if it simply came from nowhere.
We have to realise that the majority of diseases known to man today is actually forced into the body - that is, we give ourselves disease ... the body certainly does just produce disease as modern medicine would have us believe. The universal law of 'cause and effect' applies here as in any other situation.
In the study that proved a link between parabens in body products and breast cancer, twenty women with breast tumours were found to have a substantial amount of live intact parabens in all of them. Despite this overwhelming evidence, the debate continued as questions were asked why no healthy breast tissues without tumors were tested as a control to determine whether the ones with tumors had higher levels of parabens. Yet, no one disputed the fact that parabens can enter your body intact and accumulate and attach to fat cells and that all the tested tumors had parabens attached to them.
Basically, the debate is about whether parabens actually cause cancer and tumors. The study didn't prove a direct link but it didn't prove that there wasn't a strong associated link either. Inside the bodies of these women, there was a healthy relationship between parabens and cancer cells as if they were very attracted to each other. At the same time, these parabens did not attach to other types of cells.
For those of us concerned about our health and the health of our children who use deodorant, waiting to find out whether the link is direct or associated is of no consequence as the study showed that low dose, long term exposure levels that humans are typically exposed to cause parabens to accumulate in the body in certain cells that mutate and become cancerous! Even worse is that newborn babies who have not even taken their first taste of breast milk are full of parabens and other toxic substances!
Taking all of this information into consideration the FDA says "the FDA believes that at the present time there is no reason for consumers to be concerned about the use of cosmetics containing parabens. However, the agency will continue to evaluate new data in this area. If the FDA determines that a health hazard exists, the agency will advise the industry and the public, and will consider its legal options under the authority of the FD&C Act in protecting the health and welfare of consumers."
Ah yes, right ... of course you will.
Do we actually believe this will happen any time soon with a multi billion dollar industry at stake? The human population is already exposed to and getting sick from thousands upon thousands of products that are deemed 'safe' by the FDA and FSA. The FDA drew its conclusion that 'there is no need to be concerned' from the opinion of the Cosmetic Ingredient Review which is an organisation that is sponsored by the cosmetics industry. In other words, the cosmetics industry paid for the test to be done by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review which came back with 'there is no need for any concern whatsoever. Then, the FDA took this review and stated that the public should not be concerned. Since the FDA based its 'no need to worry' statement from a company that is funded by cosmetic companies that specifically use parabens in their products, it is hardly wise to take what they say seriously.
Typical cosmetic products contain about 1% parabens. 25% content of parabens means the product could crawl out of its container by itself and this is the standard that the FDA feels is enough to be concerned about.
It is a known fact that a silent war has been declared on the health of our bodies and minds from manufacturing companies that produce toxic foods and products. Now it is time for you to become wise enough to guard your health and the health of your children from these industries.
Aluminum
Yes..we are talking about the aluminum that is used to make cooking utensils. It is used in antiperspirants. There is a thought that the aluminum contained in antiperspirants may also be linked with Alzheimer's disease. Studies have shown a definite link between the use of aluminium for cooking and the development of this disease. Whether aluminium enters the body through the mouth or through the skin, the consequences may be the same.
What researchers have found is that some forms of aluminum when found in the brain can cause the neurological damage associated with Alzheimer's disease. Whether or not the aluminum found in antiperspirants cause an increase in the aluminum content of the brain still needs to be determined. When there is uncertainty about a product, the logical thing to do is not to use the product but many people do until there is a major, news related report.
Aluminum is one of the most toxic substances to humans. Aluminum damages the nervous system in both infants and adults. It is linked in anemia, osteomalacia, glucose intolerance, memory deficits, and Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrig's (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), and Parkinson's diseases. They do know that aluminum is extremely toxic to the human nervous system and should be avoided.
Humans also absorb aluminum through the skin: A 2001 study showed that aluminum was still present in blood samples 15 days after one application of aluminum to the armpit. That's 15 days later. With constant use - it sis easy to see how much this poison builds up. One study has asserted that the use of aluminum based antiperspirants increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease by 60%! Not 50% but 60%. Senile demetia and Alzheimers in old age is not necessarily an age related disease. In fact the more, I hear the term 'age related disease' - the more ignorant it sounds because all health conditions have an underlying cause. As stated, they do not just appear in the body.
One more interesting point of Aluminum Zirconium is that it is only used in antiperspirants and not deodorants. This in fact is the difference between the two.
Propylene Glycol
This is a hazardous substance that is even used in so called natural deodorants. Natural deodorants disguise its presence with the use of AKA's - such as Propanediol.
Now for the really interesting part ... propylene glycol is commonly used in anti-freeze. I know not many people want anti-freeze in their bodies but they already do. Anti-freeze and many deodorants contain the same ingredient.
Propylene Glycol enters the skin so quickly that the EPA has warned factory workers to avoid skin contact in order to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities. Now - is it not a bit strange that factory workers are advised not to come into contact with this poison, yet it is used in deodorants! And are we to believe that manufacturers of deodorants do not know what this poison is capable of? If any consumer were to sit at a board meeting where manufacturers discuss the potential dangers of their products, and listen to the percentages of how badly this poison has adverse effects, we would shudder. These meetings are not about whether the toxic ingredients are harmful or not, its about how low the adverse effects are. In other words, if a product does not kill someone immediately but causes disease in 5 to 10 years, that product is approved as there is no way the company can be sued.
.
Considering that this is the main ingredient in most deodorants including so called natural deodorants this should definitely not sit well with anyone and you certainly wouldn't want it in your kids deodorant.
