Tap Your Way To Health With Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
Personal Stories

Half an hour before the interview as we sat on the train, I asked him how he was feeling. I could see he was still tense and I knew that there was no way that he would succeed in such a condition.
A year before, I heard about Dr. Callahan's therapy called Thought Field Therapy (TFT) also referred to Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT). I bought his book because I had suffered from anxiety ever since my father passed away in 2001. His passing affected me for a long time, counselling hadn't helped and I felt alone.
Somehow, as if being guided by a Higher power, I came across Dr Callahan's book and read it. The therapy was so simple that I didn't believe the method had helped so many people with a wide range of problems. Dr Callahan had successfully treated people with stress, anxiety, trauma and many other problems.
The energy points that are tapped quickly a number of times using logarithms are - above the brows, below the middle of the eye and on the cheekbone, on the shoulder blade near the neck, on the shoulder blade near the arm socket and under the arm on the ribcage, just above the elbow, and the joints of certain fingers. What this actually does is that like acupuncture or acupressure, the meridian points or energy points are opened to increase energy and blood flow. These points are tapped in quick succession, usually five times or more. There are different types of rhythms and numbers of taps used for different problems.
The therapy also involves rapid eye movement while tapping. Some of the most famous therapists around the world have used Dr. Callahan's method to treat thousands of patients - all experiencing remarkable improvement or complete healing. It is much more complex and thorough than the procedure described above which is just one of many treatments. The therapy has been tried and tested and has been determined to be very successful.
Since I had experienced considerable success with anxiety after my father passed, I gently told my friend to tap firmly above his left brow five times (the left side first), then below the eye on the cheekbone, followed by the inner part of shoulder blade near the neck, then the outer section towards the arm socket, under the arm on the rib cage and on the elbow, wrist bone and the joints of the fingers. His expression was one of complete surprise as he looked at me afterwards and said "I feel calm...how do you know this?"
| The
incredible thing was ... he wasn't making himself calm. He didn't have
to...his body had accomplished that for him despite him feeling
nervous. His meridian system had been opened and unblocked to allow
energy to flow which had a calming effect quite similar to acupuncture
where the body is relaxed and the mind is soothed merely from energy
points being opened. He was calm and composed. The interview went well. He was able to speak with clarity and confidence. He got the job. About Thought Field Therapy / Emotional Freedom Techniques Thought Field Therapy is a revolutionary, safe, non-invasive brief therapy technique that has been
developed and refined over the last twenty years by California Psychologist,
Dr. Roger Callahan. In Thought Field Therapy, the client is asked to think about a specific issue that is troublesome. This is commonly an anxiety, a phobia, past trauma, loss, grief, or feelings of anger, depression or physical pain. The TFT treatment consist of stimulation (tapping) of a precise sequence of meridian points on the body, which are the points of what are more commonly known as the acupuncture meridians. TFT treatments work like opening a combination lock. You may well know all of the numbers, but if you don't apply them in the correct order, the lock won't open. Thought Field Therapy diagnostic procedures not only reveal the correct code, but also the application sequence required for successful treatment. TFT is a very rapid method of treating psychological problems typically requiring only a matter of minutes to effect change, which usually endures. A full TFT treatment normally
has a duration of 60 to 90 minutes.
Depending on the issue addressed, one to three sessions are required for the
most commonly known psychological and emotional problems.
No other treatment
presently available whether conventional, complementary or alternative can
claim the same success, speed and completeness. Thought Field Therapy addresses the fundamental cause of problems, providing information in the
form of a healing code, balancing the body's energy system and
allowing you to eliminate most negative emotions within minutes and
promote the body's own healing ability. It uses nature's therapeutic system to balance the bodies energy system
promoting natural healing and improved mental health. |
